Vehicle Requirements
Our Kimberley Kampers are designed to be towed behind full size 4X4 vehicles, so there are a few things that are necessary for happy towing.
Firstly, for the camper to tow flat, the tongue of your towbar should be around 520mm from the ground. This also gives you plenty of clearance so the jockey wheel can be lowered easily. If your tow bar tongue is to low, you may need a jack to take the camper off the hitch.
Secondly, the camper weighs around 1500 kg fully loaded, with a ball weight of around 150 kg. Don't be put off by the weight as they tow fantastically, but you do have to ensure your vehicle and towbar are rated adequately.
